Today we continue out report cards for the 08-09 Orlando Magic. Yesterday we tackled Courtney Lee. Next up, Jeremy Richardson.
Umm, he's second from the right
Player: Richardson, Jeremy
Stats: 12 Games played with an average of 7 and a half minutes of playing time. 3.1 points a game on 29% shooting, 35% from deep. A cool 1.2 boards were also chipped in.
Best Game: 7 points and 4 boards in a blowout against the Bobcats. Many will tell you that we already had the game in the bag, but true fans know that the Bobcats were just a bucket away from going on a run. J-Rich made sure that didn't happen.
Worst Game: They don't exist in Richworld.
Most Memorable Moment: Hitting the record breaking 3 pointer that put the Magic in the record books against the Kings. The other 22 were good, but his was special.
Offense: J-Rich possesses a knack for touching the basketball when he is put into games. Not much of a passer, Jeremy shot the ball at a low percentage the entire year since basically all he did was take jumpers. If you ask this blogger though, it seemed like the guy couldn't miss. The most important part of his offense though was the amazing suits sported throughout the year. Men's Warehouse states "you're gonna like the way you look, I guarantee it". Well Mr. Strep Throat Guy, I concur. Without J-Rich's style, who knows how far this team would have gone.
Defense: It doesn't matter, think about his suits.Fans Perspective: Fans love J-Rich, simply because they can call him J-Rich. His work in the community, his constant work of helping old ladies across the street, and his opening of nearly 2 new Winn Dixie's in Apopka helped him cement his legacy with this team and it's fanbase.
Expectations for 2010: Playing time. Hopefully. But with a different team.
Grade: A solid B+. Keep up the good work J-Rich. We <3 you.
